파나마, 포르토벨로와 산 로렌조 요새
- Portobello & San Lorenzo Fortifications(panama) -
* 포르토벨로는 카리브해에 있는 작은 도시로서 1502년 콜럼버스가 발견하여 1597년 항구로 정비되었고 산로렌소 요새 유적은 포르토벨로 남서쪽 약 60km 지점, 산 위에 있다.
* 17-18세기의 군사건축물로 대서양 횡단 무역을 보호하기 위하여 스페인군에 의해 건설된 방어요새.
* Magnificent examples of 17th- and 18th-century military architecture, these Panamanian forts on the Caribbean coast form part of the defence system built by the Spanish Crown to protect transatlantic trade.
