*  홍적세기에 형성된 오아시스와 호수들이 많은 화석 유적지로 4만년전부터 인류가 살았던 지역임.
* 이곳은 오스트레일리아 대륙의 인류진화연구에 독특한 이정표를 이루는 중요한 유적지임.
* 거대한 유대류(캥거루 등 주머니동물) 화석이 잘 보존된 채 발견되고 있음. 
 
* The fossil remains of a series of lakes and sand formations that date from the Pleistocene can be found in this region, together with archaeological evidence of human occupation dating from 45–60,000 years ago. It is a unique landmark in the study of human evolution on the Australian continent. Several well-preserved fossils of giant marsupials have also been found here.

- Pont du Gard (Roman Aqueduct), France -
* 가르강을 가로지르는 50㎞의 수도교(水導橋).
*ㅇ 고대로마시대에 건설된 50m높이의 수도관으로 공학적, 예술적 걸작품. 
 
* The Pont du Gard was built shortly before the Christian era to allow the aqueduct of Nîmes (which is almost 50 km long) to cross the Gard river. The Roman architects and hydraulic engineers who designed this bridge, which stands almost 50 m high and is on three levels – the longest measuring 275 m – created a technical as well as an artistic masterpiece.

* 로마네스크 시스틴 예배당으로 알려진 이 교회는 11-12세기의 벽화가 원형 그대로 보존되어 있음. 
* Known as the ' Romanesque Sistine Chapel ', the Abbey-Church of Saint-Savin contains many beautiful 11th- and 12th-century murals which are still in a remarkable state of preservation.
